Booking Appointments

We operate an appointments system for both morning and evening surgeries.
Pre-booked appointments can be made up to 2 weeks in advance.
Routine appointments are for 10 minutes for the Doctor and 15minutes for the Nurse.

Appointments can be booked in the following ways;

  • Call our reception team to book an appointment over the telephone
  • If you wish to book an appointment online, then you must first visit the surgery in person to obtain your login details.
  • If you already have your login details, please Click here to book an appointment online
Automated check in

We have an automated system that allows patients to check themselves in for any booked appointment whether with the doctor or the nurses.

It is very user friendly and has on screen instructions. It will ask your gender, the month you were born and then the day of the month. The final screen will ask you to confirm the entry is correct and it will then search the appointment system and confirm you are booked in with the doctor or nurse.

You still have the option to book in with the receptionist if you prefer

Late check in

In order to ensure that the clinic runs on time, If you are late by more than 10 minutes you may have to rebook the appointment.

Emergencies

There is a duty doctor system in operation each day for patients who have urgent problems that need to be dealt with on the day when all routine appointments have been booked.

In case of emergency, please ring 0208 508 9949 for advice giving full details of name, address, telephone number and the problem. After 6.30pm our answer phone will supply you with Out of Hours contact details.

If you are experiencing life threatening symptoms eg chest pains you must call an ambulance and go to hospital immediately.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Enhanced Access

For your convenience, the practice also offers evening and weekend appointments at our Primary Care network site in Buckhurst Hill. These can be telephone or face to face appointments. Please ask one of our team for more information

When we are closed

If you require urgent medical assistance out of surgery hours please contact NHS111. To get help from NHS111, you can:

  • call 111
  • go to 111.nhs.uk (for people aged 5 and over only)

NHS111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls to this service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

Home Visits

Home visits are for genuine medical reasons only if you are totally incapacitated and unable to get to the practice. If this is the case then please contact us before 10:00am if possible.

We very much appreciate your help in this matter as unnecessary home visits are disruptive as the time taken to perform one home visit is equivalent to seeing 3-4 patients at the practice.

However, if in doubt please telephone for advice in this matter, as there are many situations where telephone advice may save you time for your particular health need.
